Maintaining a scrapbook was such a good past activity in childhood. I remember filling in pages upon pages of friends' scrapbooks with markers, glue, and glitter. Pasting postcards, sticky notes, post its, pictures, and drawings. Now i don't have time for all of this, but i'm stricken with nostalgia every time i see a little kid with his scrapbook.

I fell in love with scrapbooking after I had my first ultrasound during my first pregnancy. It is such a personal and creative way to document daily life. So much so that I never stopped!

You got me worried though. I never used acid-free adhesives. Uh-oh!

My girlfriend got me into scrapbooking, especially with photos, as it really is rewarding when it is all done and you can look back at memories. I love that I can look back at something I made from photos years ago and feel like I was there all over again.

I never used to scrapbook but after I had a daughter, I'm like a scrap-booking nut. I suppose it's different for everyone but that's what got me started. Thanks for the great tips on tools you need to get started.

Scrapbooking is becoming bigger and bigger now - especially since the internet has freed people from the ridiculous prices of many local scrapbooking shops. Where I used to live, many things were quite cheap - the market couldn't handle any higher prices as most people were farmers or connected to the industry. But the scrapbooking shop was consistently amazingly expensive ... it cost $3 for a sheet of patterned heavyweight paper, and $3 for the same weight plain paper. Paint tubes were $8, and ribbon started at $4 per metre. Online stores and easy shopping around have opened it up to a lot more people!

thats one mistake i´ll never do again. so thanks for those tips on your blog here.
